After a few months of waiting and one whiny blog post, my 2009 cannondale F29 has finaly arrived. I’ll try to keep the lefty 29er page updated.
I’ve been wanting to get a set of ergon grips for my rigid singlespeed for a while now. I am hoping the ergo shape will ease the palm pain on longer rides, and the dinky bar-ends will provide some more hand positions and some out of the seat gruntability.
Anyway I picked up a set last night and hve yet to fit them. The first thing I noticed in not so much “ergo” but more “eco”. The display packaging they come in us both impressive and ridiculous, it is way over the top. I can see the need for a company to promote it’s product well in a point of sale situation. However in my situation I chose the product before I saw them in real life or in their natural packaged state.

Wonder if they offer refunds?
Maybe ergon could provide a “downloadable” version of their product in a more eco friendly OEM style packaging. Mildly ironically I ordered a the team green colour option, turns out this colour is not available in Australia.
I’ve sold my Cannondale Prophet, now I’m waiting for Cannondale to get their act together and get me a 2009 F29er 1 with carbon lefty. They were supposed to be here mid October. The cheaper models started showing up in bike shops a few weeks back. At least my KISS is still going strong.
Ouch! This is what happens when I get a BMX racer on my singlespeed 29er and forget to take note of the upcoming trail conditions. Juicy!
