100km MTB Nebo (with extra) ride today, happy days.

I took the MTB out today for a ride up Mt Nebo with a few training friends this morning.

Early start, got rolling at 5am to meet at Payne Rd The Gap
Rode up the Nebo fire trail to the rain gauge then dropped down the 'mine shaft'
Climbed out of there through some lovely green forest, turned right before the trail dropped back down again.
Pretty much constant climbing and climbing, especially steep for the first few km, eventually the trail joins back onto the main Nebo trail.
A few more km then we join up with the tarmac for an easy roll to the cafe.
I ordered pancakes & a coffee, wow, 3 huge pancakes turned up. I tried my best but couldn't get them all down, much to the pleasure of the local bird life.
Breakfast done we headed back down the fire trail to Gap Creek reserve where the other two headed off home.
I continued on & did most of the trails, then headed home up Dingo trail & up the steep steep fire trail to channel 9.
For a change of scenery I took the Powerful Owl trail back to JC slaughter falls (been doing a bit much Cootha tarmac work lately), that is a hoot of a trail heading that way.
With about 75km on the clock I headed home via Southbank (for more breakfast & coffee) then a lap of Kangaroo Point to make sure I clocked the 100.
Great fun, home by midday.

And finally some pics taken up at Nebo cafe, some nice bikes (& people up there today).
